Why and when 3 has been cuted?

the 3 was suspended in 2005 and operated by bus (it was on of the last line to use the hold orange busses) for some work on the track and especially for the new metro line work around the area of San Giovanni in Laterano.
In 2012 the 3 is back, but not all.
There are still some problems with the loop in front of the Roma Trastevere station and two stop the were not longer in accordance with the new law.
Now there are problems with the cars, there aren't the moneys for the current maintenance of the fleet.

Is an outlook for renual traffic on this part of line?

From 2000 they have the municipal color (yellow and red) then the company decided to change in a metallic gray but the work was suspended because to expensive for 10 years old buses.
From 2013 the last buses arrived are in red in accordance with the new municipal visual identity (also the fleet of the municipal company for the cleaning of the road and garbage are in red).

This weekend we are going to have the election day for the major, so we are waiting the new administration, but there is a concrete plan to reopen again also the last part.
There is also a "B plan" to restore the line 13 between Largo Preneste (where it's a service loop) and Trastevere instead of line 3 restoration.

Thanks for info. I now what is "orange buses" means. Remember that machines, whit a lot of doors, they were wery cute:-)

So, in Moscow now the same picture. As far as money, paintin all municipal fleet. Passanger tranport is blue, cleaning maschines (also for snow) are orange, garbage truks and municipal wrekers - green. Good news, not bad plans. But i heve not found, where the Largo Preneste is?

Maybe they could choose something of different (in the style that blue like very cool or better of the gray chose here) for the old, in Rome, the company of for the old tram chose a simplification of the classic two green livery (was the official livery for the urban transport in all the country from 1927 to 1970).

I think, whatever what is the basic coloring, for old machines should to use more traditional type, whit stipes and lines, or somethig like this. Old, espesially trams, should looks more vintage. Romantic, however as... :-)

I'm agree with you, in Milan they did a good job to restore the class white and yellow and also on the new tram isn't so bad.
